Pravin Mahajan suffers brain haemorrhage, condition critical
How a family is ruined due to wrong intention of one man is the case of Praveen Mahajan’s family. The murder convict of Promod Mahajan, the prominent erstwhile BJP leader of Maharashtra, is now fighting with his life in the Jupiter Hospital at Thane District, Maharashtra.
Praveen, who was taken care financially by Promod, was found guilty of shooting his brother at his residence for reasons not honestly disclosed. On 20 April 2006, he went to his brother’s house, fired shots on him after a hot conversation with him, and then surrendered himself in the police station. Promod fought a loosing battle in the hospital for twelve days before succumbing to his injuries.
The court found Praveen guilty of murder and sentenced life imprisonment. He has been kept in a Nasik Jail, and is serving his sentence there. On 27 November he was given 14 days parole on health ground, which was to end on today (13 December). The parole was sanctioned on health ground, jail sources informed. On 12th night on complain of severe headache and fatigue, he was admitted in the Jupiter hospital at Thane, the place,where he was spending his parole days with his family. His younger brother Prakash informed the media today that he is in critical condition, and has been kept under emergency support in the ICU. Later the hospital authority released a health bulletin that confirmed brain hemorrhage and unconscious critical condition of Praveen.
