Absent from trial, Bindra can’t shoot for WC medal

However good or perfect a sport person is he cannot be bigger than the game or the organization that controls the game. Discipline should be maintained strictly at any cost. If Bindra is not chosen for the forthcoming Commonwealth Shooting Championship on the ground of discipline, it is the right step taken by the authority. Whether India would lose a gold medal is of lesser importance compare to the set up of a wrong precedent.

He missed the mandatory trial before the next months’ competition, so he is liable to be punished. Often, the norms of the system are flouted for different reasons that should be stopped. The National Rifle Association of India should stick to their decision on the ground stated in the news article. There may be pressure from different quarters for his inclusion, which should be dealt with firm observations.

According to Bindra, the onus of missing the trial goes to NRAI that he terms as misleading behavior of the association. The selection process is a time consuming matter, and surely, he knew what is happening in the association from time to time. If one were firm in his resolve, then attending the mandatory trial would have happened. Moreover, Bindra is in a preferred position being the gold medalist of Olympics, and cannot blame by saying that he was mislead.  As he is not in the list of the participants in the next month’s Commonwealth Shooting; he would also miss the world cup events in Sydney and Beijing to be held in March and April respectively. Even his name is included in the world cup squad that would be in the fourth and fifth place, making it meaningless for acquiring medals. The rule of the ISSF says that only the first three contestants can compete for the medals based on their performance in the trials.

Of course, this is a loss for India, but he is only to blame for this if the news report is true.

Global cooling is here: Can we believe?

Global cooling is here: Can we believe?

Prediction, analysis, scrutiny, investigation, what we may call it, the nature is the king, and that we cannot change. All activities on the planet Earth is minuscule compare to the unknown colossal activities going on in our solar system in particular and the universe in general. Temperature rise or fall probably depends on the behavior of all the celestial bodies that are linked with this planet in some way. Our knowledge has increased through evolved technologies; however, those are not sufficient to make definite assessment. Based on the statistics and data one might predict the future course of the nature, but that, in no way, can be the last word.

The term ‘global warming’ has set in the minds of people by the incessant publication of news containing this term. All sorts of consequences have been forecasted, of which some are horrible. Are not these forecasts make people confused, since people take scientists’ words as truth?

Now, looking at the worldwide cold waves, the term ‘global cooling’ is in front of us. Which one should we believe?

According to the eminent Indian theoretical geophysicist Janardan Negi, the world would see the prominence of coolness by the year 2030. He has come to this conclusion by checking data of last four hundred years or so. The cooling cycle is 70 to 80 years that he says in his talking to the media.

This year, the winter is more than severe in many parts of the globe, which corroborates Negi’s readings on the subject matter. The question remains, whether the world is really cooling or warming, as he says that the strong global cyclic phenomenon is independent of green house gas emission. Can’t we think that we cannot dent the supremacy of the nature by our irresponsible acts? Of course, we have to leave the nature the way it is. For that, we have to stop destroying trees, mountain, rivers, lakes, and the leave the rest on the nature. After that whatever comes in our way, it is the gift of the nature to us.

The Sun, the Moon, other planets, and even the heavenly bodies outside of our solar system influence this only known inhabited planet in a way that is not completely known. Therefore, too much contradictory news only baffles us; rather give us a chance for taking corrective measures.

Zardari is jealous about India

Zardari drops Kashmir-bomb, says ready for ‘1000-yr ideological war’ with India

So, that’s it. He has come to the line of traditional Pakistan leaders, who knew that their survival depends on the India bashing and India specific politics. Zardari’s survival is now at state in politics, since the Pakistan Supreme Court has ordered investigation of his unending corruption at the time of his wife Benazir Bhutto’s tenure as prime minister. The level of corruption was such that he was nick named Mr. 10%.

Whatever would be the outcome of investigation is the future, and that would take long time, no doubt in that. At the moment, he needs to strengthen his position as the president of the country, hence, the rhetoric started. The same Zardaro, soon after becoming the president stated all positive statements in favor of India. One may argue that this is politics and nothing from the mouth of the politicians should be taken seriously. Their only intention is their benefit, for which they are ready to utter anything and everything at any time.

He intends to continue the ideological war with India on the subject of Kashmir. What does that mean? Had he contemplated a reasonable solution of Kashmir problem; he would have been credited for that. Again, we are mistaking the Pakistani leaders, who are jealous and angry about India, and over 62 years not a single leader on the western front of India we found is reasonable, honest, and progressive in nature.

Zardari is living in fool’s paradise like his predecessors dreaming the Kashmir in Pakistan kitty soon. His misinterpretation of the world powers in this issue has made him dream in this direction.

The Kashmir problem is an artificial issue for Pakistan, which they do not want to let go, as this issue is like a milking cow that gives its leaders and army men a ready unending scapegoat.

Passed by House in Aug, right to education yet to be law

Passed by House in Aug, right to education yet to be law

The heads of government ministries along with their bureaucrat brains are yet to learn about the list of preference factor for the country’s development and progress. Sixty-two years have gone by, and many more will pass with planning, rhetoric, meetings, and seminars spending crores, but the real issue would remain in the dark as it is. This is exactly what is happening in ‘Right To Education’.

In a democracy, people are the main assets of the country, and more literate they are better the chances of progress. The political leaders lack the thought initiative to understand this; hence, the vital issue of education does not get the importance.

After fifty-five years, the bill was placed in the parliament in 2002, and it was passed after four months’ deliberations. That is not all, what was needed after that is the notifications to both the legislations, which has not been done yet, hence the passing of the bill is as useless as without passing. The cost factor is the biggest hurdles according to the government source. The people, who would be responsible to implement the actual work, are of the opinion that there are so many other things to do before the actual implementation, which do not cost much money, and those could be taken into action now, if the notifications were sent. If the government in the centre takes another three or so months, then the actual work could not be initiated, as the state governments would not have any money allocation for the RTE in their annual budget passed before March.

Certain points in the bill such as the teacher-student ratio, examination reforms, new learning methods, etc could be started with the knowledge that the bill has been notified.

The biggest problem is not the money, since India’s economy is growing at the rate of more than 7% for the past few years. Even, there is finance problem, that problem should have been overcome by giving preference to this issue over other trivial issues, as according to me, this is of vital importance.

Fundamentally, education is one area that needs the maximum exposures after shelter and food.

Rathore will lose medal, so will other convicted officers

Rathore will lose medal, so will other convicted officers

The central government as well as the Central Police Awards Committee is good for nothing. They can act only after the public pressure and media attention on any case. If this is the situation, then they should leave their office, either voluntarily or thrown out of the office for their inefficiency. The public servants of India take their positions carelessly, making the system ineffective, and that should be stopped at any cost.

Now that there is no way to escape from the intolerable pressure form the people of this country, all departments have awaken from their nexus and have become busy taking action on those high ranking police officials. The entire system is so corrupt that not a single person in the high level can show the courage with honesty to expose his colleagues. Money is the first as well as last word for them, they are ready to do anything and everything illegal, unlawful, unreasonable for their own benefit. The bureaucrats with their political masters take the government offices as their personal business until they are compelled to act as per law.

The other day news was published containing the permission given by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi to CBI to investigate Sajjan Kumar for his role in the killings of thousands of Sikhs in Delhi 25 years ago. A nonsense attitude, isn’t it? The authorities took 25 years to decide whether a person can be investigated or not for a crime that was committed more than two and half decades. Do these people think that the public is fool? Now that the Rathore is in the net of being sent to jail for a long time with other punishments; others like him too would fall prey by default. The CPAC, at least has understood al last that a third class man as Rathore does not deserves any medal. The union home secretary GK Pillai informed the media about the decision to be sent to the president’s office with recommendation for withdrawing the awards bestowed to those officers, who committed heinous acts while on duty.

This is another joke. Rathore committed the crime in 1991, he was not punished, and he was given promotion by two successive governments of Haryana, and in 1995 was awarded with medals for his meritorious services. Why was he not dismissed from the service and put behind the bar then? Why the CPAC awarded him then? That is why we the ordinary people are of the opinion that the system is awfully wrong with 99% wrong people. A complete reform is needed if clean working conditions is in the mind of the government. Otherwise, public would lose their patience in the near future and would take the law in their hands.

After Tharoor, his Official on Special Duty angers Cong

After Tharoor, his Official on Special Duty angers Cong

Sashi Tharoor is always in the news for wrong reasons. In addition, every time, when he achieves that, his officer on special duty, personally chosen by Tharoor after becoming the minister of state for Foreign Affairs, comes to his rescue with valuable photos and statements. Joseph Jacob, the OSD, has criticized the Foreign Affairs minister SM Krishna for reprimanding Tharoor on his irresponsible comments on the tightening visa rules.

It seems that neither Tharoor nor his OSD has the minimum sense of tackling matters of national importance. The prime minister should act urgently on Tharoor, and clip his thought on national matters as his comments on government policies often go wrong. Either he does not understand politics, or he deliberately does that for reason he knows better. The OSD probably does the right job to show his gratitude to Tharoor for personally choosing him his OSD.

The congress spokesperson Shakeel Ahmed has indirectly given a message to Tharoor and his OSD; but more than that is needed for Tharoor to understand his position in the government.

India on an adventurous and dangerous path: Kayani

India on an adventurous and dangerous path: Kayani

Often we have found that people in high responsible ranks in the governments talk in the same wavelength that is as common as water in the ocean. What General Kiyani has said contains no sensibility being in the position of army chief of Pakistan.

It is not General Kapoor, who tries to instigate any one; it is Kiyani, who is doing the same to cover up his failures to control terrorism as the army chief in his own country. Needless to say, he is recognized already in the international arena as the facilitator of the terrorist group, which, of course, he will deny. Now, the country is facing the heat of their created monsters in their own country. The fact remains, the government as well as the military does not have any honest interest to do good for the people of Pakistan, and their only intention is to make money through corruption while keeping he citizens in the dark under the pretext of India. This is dirty politics that is being followed decades after decades, and no leader or army chief has shown the guts to take a different path to restore democracy truly.

I will not say that Indian politicians are the honest lot as far as politics is concerned. However, the system of democracy is still intact in India and the country has progressed in all fields substantially unlike Pakistan.

Kiyani should look back in the history and learn what his predecessors had achieved in their initiated adventure against India. He may be in the wrong elated perception due to the possession of nuclear weapons, but that would be the last great mistake they would make, if ever they trigger the nuclear button. India has never indulged in any adventure is the proof that it could annexed Bangladesh easily after declutching it from the wrong hands of Pakistan.

Kiyani has to control his people, and he had to take the path of rhetoric. He opened his mind while addressing the high-ranking officials of military at the General Headquarters. It is easy to make out the wrong intent of Kiyani, as he tried to mix religion with the country’s defense, which the people most fear in that country.

Ruchika’s school principal under scanner

Ruchika’s school principal under scanner

When a tree falls, it takes along with it some other small ones.

What a fate Ruchika Girhotra had, first the high-ranking police officer molested her forcefully, and then she was forced to withdraw the complaint against him, which she and her family did not accept. After that, she was expelled from the prestigious Sacred Heart School. Who expelled her and on what ground is not reported, but the common sense points the finger to the principal of the school at that time. How much a girl of 14 years can bear? She was made very devastated, and she committed suicide.

Sister Sebastina was the principal of the school at the time of her expulsion from the school. She is now in a higher position of the school. Would it be wrong to presume that Rathore, the molester, being in a high position of the Haryana police department, played the trick of convincing Sebastina to expel Ruchika from the school? In addition, Rathore’s daughter was in the same school at that time, which could be a valid motive for Rathore to manipulate Sebastina. How an educationist and a principal of a school cowed down under pressure so easily that she expelled an already traumatized student, who was seeking justice from the relevant authority? Are we living in the jungle raj?

How much guilty she is would be decided by the authority that is probing the matter. However, she cannot escape being the principal of the school at that time, and she must have served the letter of expulsion. Prerna Puri, the sub-divisional magistrate is investigating the expulsion of Ruchika from the school as well as the role of the then principal of the school.  The Haryana government rewarded Sebastina for her meritorious service in the field of education in 2005. More you are with us to accept our wrongdoings, more we will put you in high esteem seems to be the motto of the then state government of Haryana.

Sebastina should be made to spill the bean why she expelled Ruchika from the school and on whose instances she did this. She should be removed on found guilty on the alleged charges against her and punished. Do you think she deserves to be in the education line?

Swine flu vaccine made by killing sharks

Swine flu vaccine made by killing sharks

Is it justifiable to save one life by killing another life? The question is not easy to answer, as there are tricky social, human, and ethical issues involved in it.

Squalene, the substance that is widely used in the vaccines for increasing the body’s immune response, to be outsourced from the available natural sources is the contention of the World Health Organization. However, this is not the practice in reality. The report of the authentic National Geographic News discloses that squalene is extracted from the lever of shark to high content of the matter is available in shark lever. Millions of H1N1/09 vaccines have been made by killing sharks, violating the clear guidelines of WHO, which recommends the use of olive oil, wheat germ oil, and rice bran oil as adjuvant, the NGN reported. Since the content of squalene is less in these products, the squalene extraction from shark lever has become more profitable, hence the killing of sharks.

The Shark Safe Network, a volunteer advocacy group, has raised the concern of killing sharks. The supplier of shark lever considers the gulper shark as the most sought after as this species yields high quantity of squalene. The International Union for Conservation of Nature has listed this species as high-risk extinction species, informed Mary O’Malley, the co-founder of Shark Safe Network.

Incidentally, the vaccines for H1N1 containing squalene have not been approved in the United States, but are used in some other countries. Some countries in Europe and Canada too are using squalene-based vaccines for H1N1.

Glaxo smithkline, a giant pharmaceutical company, also an important swine flu vaccine producer has admitted receiving 440 million doses of vaccines containing adjuvant. Vaccines supplied to 26 countries by GSK so far has shark-lever squalene, admitted the company spokesperson Clare Eldred. However, the company is looking for squalene produced from other natural source such as olive oil, he added. The alternative non-animal sources cannot match the yield of animal sources, hence at the moment, the company would continue with the existing way, she said.

According to Mary O’malley, 4,400 kilograms of shark oil would be needed to produce the existing 440 million doses of vaccines, the order for which the GSK has received. How many sharks are to be killed to obtain this quantity of squalene is either not estimated or not given in the report published.

More bombers on their way: Abdulmutallab tells FBI

More bombers on their way: Abdulmutallab tells FBI

Our planet is heading towards the destruction caused by the terrorists everywhere. This problem is so typical that it cannot be rectified through available means, it needs much more than that, for which the leaders must sit together to reach an effective strategy.

However good the security cover and safety norms are, terrorists cannot be stopped altogether ever. New methods, gadgets, and systems are implemented with every passing day, yet the scare of terrorist attack is not diminished.

Since the terrorists have no rules to follow in their attack, they are difficult to understand. The combined action of all peace-loving countries with sustainable intensity could make them understand their wrong intention. For that broad consensus among the nations is needed leaving aside other business aspects for the time being.

The alleged Nigerian Al-Qaeda member Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab tricked into the aircraft with PETN (Explosive material) in spite of the stringent security check. The terrorists take a chance knowing that the chance of being caught is 99%, because they have only one goal, and that is not their life; it is inflict harm to others at any cost. This type of mentality is hard to tackle, as they behave in total disarray. Ti is the good luck that he was arrested in time before triggering the explosive in person. How many times the luck would be in our side? May be 99 times out of 100 times, the intelligence agencies, security forces, police would be able to apprehend the terrorist, but that one time that lies with their luck would be enough to fulfill their goal.

The interrogation of Umer has put pressure on FBI, as he disclosed many more like him are on the move to carryout same job that he was about to do. The ABC News has blamed the airport security system, which I think meaningless. How the News organization can think that airport security can detect all cases of infiltration? Do not forget, human beings, who are subjected to commit mistakes one time out of thousand times, also man the airport security system. They may argue that in security matters, there should not be any compromise. Fine, but the reality is something else. Have you forgotten the old adage, “To err is human”?

America, the only super power in this planet, is in the top of the target list of the terrorists. The terrorist groups are now spread all over the world, and recruiting members from different countries making the local authorities puzzled to check their own country men, who look innocent.

The terrorist attacks in the past were few and considered isolated; now attacks are regular and everywhere. Governments of those vulnerable countries must join hands for eradicating this problem for the peace loving citizens of this planet.
